This is Dolichandra unguis cati, also known as Cats Claw trumpet, and funnel creeper. This climber likes to live in sun or partial shade where it will bloom from the middle of the Spring until early Summer. This plant thrives with very little water and it can cover a fence in no time, but do not let it get loose in a forest type of eco-system. This is not a plant-it and forget-about-it type of plant. It must be pruned back aggressively a couple times a year, but if you need to cover an ugly cinder block wall this will do the trick. Even with almost no water and in poor soil.
