Range: Eastern Atlantic Ocean: Senegal to Lobito, Angola, and Canary Islands.

Size: 12 inches (30 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits areas containing mud, sand, and rubble in coastal waters where its usually found at depths between 150 – 300 feet (45 – 90 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Dark body with several vertical pale blue stripes. Not collected for the trade.
