Salema beach
Salema Beach is located on the west coast of the Algarve, in the city of the same name, in 15 km from Lagos. You can get to Salema by a rented car.

Beach description
The beach consists of a long sandy line surrounded by rocks. There is a restaurant, a cafe and a lifeguard tower on the territory. There are a few visitors. It is mainly used by local, coastal hotel guests and travellers passing by. The plots owned by the hotels have excellent infrastructure. For a comfortable stay at Salem Beach you should bring water equipment, umbrellas, folding deck chairs, food and drinks. Since lifeguards are available not all along the coast, you need to be vigilant, especially when vacationing with children.
When is it better to go
The beach season in Portugal lasts from the beginning of June until September, when the air temperature reaches +30°C and the water temperature - +19°C. It should be remembered that the Atlantic Ocean does not warm up well and cools quickly, lovers of a more comfortable temperature can swim in natural stone pools, which are quite numerous on the coast.
