Opuntia microdasys var. pallida - 'Golden Bunny Ears': A staple for any cactus collection, this prickly pear produces offshoots that form a bush-like shape. Be cautious when handling due to the glochids, or small barbs, found on the cacti's stems. Adding to its appeal, the cactus also boasts large, vibrant trumpet-like flowers in shades of yellow and orange.
Opuntia species have glochids, which are small, barbed bristles that can easily detach from the plant. When shipping, these glochids may become loose in the box and can pierce skin and leather gloves. For safe handling, use tongs.
