As the official university partner of Design Miami/, SCAD presents designs by alumni from its leading jewelry program, the largest in the U.S. These artists pair extensive knowledge of materials and techniques to create wearable innovations that explore themes and motifs ranging from the natural world to illusionary geometric patterning to whimsical object appropriation. Celebrating jewelry’s relationship to the human body and self-expression, these pieces are displayed within a playful installation of grand-scale tassels by textile designer Paola Maldonado (B.F.A., fibers, 2018).
