The finishing touches are underway for the opening of the new theatre season with the local production ‘Ix-Xabla tal-Fidda’ by Teatru Govanni and Ghaqda Drammatika Xewkija.

The actors and stage crew are working everyday to get everything set for the production which is based on the novel The Silver Sword by Ian Serraillier, translated in Maltese and adapted to stage by Rev Joseph Tabone.

It is an intriguing story of a Polish family who become separated by the disasters of World War II. Will they ever managed to survive war? Will they ever be re-united once again? Why is the Xabla tal-Fidda so important?
