I recently dined at Razza, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.
We started with the meatballs, which were incredibly tender and practically melted in your mouth. The Greens Salad, while not as good as the other dishes, was still fresh and enjoyable.
We tried four pizzas: the East Coast Margarita, Burrata, Project Hazelnut, and Santo. All were delicious, but the Project Hazelnut stood out as a unique and was the favorite among everyone at the table. Absolutely DELISH! Its inventive combination of flavors made it a standout dish that we couldn't get enough of.
Overall, Razza offers an amazing dining experience with fantastic food. I highly recommend trying the Project Hazelnut pizza - it's a must!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - 61866293May 19, 20241 check-in
This place really is no joke. From the moment we walked into the establishment, to when we left it has been an amazing experience. NYT rated this place best pizza in NY. We were determined to try.
My bf and I walked in around 6pm on a Saturday and they were able to put my number down and text me when a table was ready which was less than 30 minutes. At the front, the host was so incredibly kind and hospitable. We were lead into the establishment which has a rustic sort of vibe to it. Dark lighting, beautiful smell of the za, and not too crowded given this place is busy!
FOOD ORDERED
Bread and Butter: this was delicious for sure but spending $9 for something you usually get free was def a new thing for me. Bread was soft and perfectly salty and the butter tasted so fresh, buttttt was it worth $9 when I can spend on more unique appetizer?
Ceci: Now this is an appetizer! We actually added this to the bread and butter and it was delicious all together. My bf said he couldn't stop eating it.
Burrata: WOW! Something about the crunchy warmth of the pizza topped with a cool Burrata made it just an amazing experience. So fresh.
Guancia: WOW (again)! This one was my favorite. This was a complete contrast to the Burrata which was perfect. It was rich in flavor and guanciale was an incredible rich bacon flavor but if the bacon was only the fat part - so amazing.
*NOTE: the pies are thin and small - you def can finish your own!l

Razza in Jersey City is not just a pizza place--it's a culinary experience that will transport you straight to pizza paradise! As a devoted pizza enthusiast, I can confidently say that Razza serves some of the best Neapolitan-style pizzas I've ever had the pleasure of tasting.
From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with the enticing aroma of wood-fired perfection. The ambiance is cozy yet chic, making it the perfect spot for a casual lunch or a romantic dinner.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show--the pizza! Each pie at Razza is a work of art, with a thin, chewy crust that's charred to perfection and topped with the freshest ingredients imaginable. Whether you opt for a classic Margherita or one of their inventive seasonal creations, you're in for a flavor explosion that will leave you craving more.
But Razza isn't just about the pizza. Their appetizers and salads are equally delightful, showcasing locally sourced ingredients and expert craftsmanship. And don't even get me started on their desserts--I'm still dreaming about the tiramisu!
The service at Razza is top-notch, with friendly staff who are passionate about their craft and eager to make your dining experience unforgettable.
In summary, if you're a pizza aficionado or just someone who appreciates good food, Razza is a must-visit. Five stars all the way for their dedication to quality, flavor, and overall dining excellence. Bravo, Razza!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2 - Mar 9, 20241 check-in
Everything at this spot was awesome
Our server Sean P was very attentive and friendly. One of the best service teams we've seen a a restaurant in a long time. Everyone on the team was accommodating, and really on their game. The food and drink was fantastic as well. Definitely lives up to all the hype. Great restaurant, food and staff.Helpful 5Thanks 2Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jessica M.Beacon, NY11324May 23, 2024
Razza was really good but a little on the pricer side. The pizza's were 24 and 25 which I believe is a little much however I really loved the Calabrese and would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes an extra heat! Also, cannot forget the staff! Our waitress was really kind and attentive (wish I remembered her name to give her a shoutout).

We have dined in before and absolutely love this restaurant but decided to try them out for take-out. Took a little under 1.5 hours (as was stated in the Uber eats app) so obviously the pizza was cold. We warmed it up and it was fantastic- same quality! We had the Santo pizza which included really delicious sausage on top and the signature thin crust. I also decided to try out a loaf of their bread. I do wish it was a tiny bit less crisp on the outside but extremely fresh! It comes without any packaging so needs to be placed in an airtight container or package to maintain freshness. Would definitely recommend this option if you are looking to try Razza and can't get a reservation or wanting to enjoy some high quality pizza at home.

It took us some time to snag a weekend reservation but if you turn on notifications on resy a few days before, you should be able to snag a spot. If not, they offer take out and delivery as well which I will be trying.
Food- We started with the meatballs and salumi Misti. Meatballs were perfectly cooked and served in a decadent tomato sauce with ricotta. We opted to keep the leftover sauce to add to our pizza. The Salumi Misti cured meats were fantastic quality. We followed by sharing the Calabrese and Di Natalie pizzas - definitely would say the Calabrese was the stand out. It is the perfect amount of spice balanced with sweet caramelized onions. Finally, for dessert we had the olive oil cake and caramel panna cotta which were both fantastic. The panna cotta is definitely on the sweeter side and has a strong caramel flavor.
Ambiance- This restaurant has an elevated pizzeria vibe. We were in one of the two downstairs rooms which both had quite different aesthetic.
Service - Our waiter was absolutely fantastic! He answered all our questions and gave suggestions as it was pretty hard to pick between the many pizza options.
10/10 dining experience! - Feb 7, 2024Updated review
I wanted so badly to love this place when we finally dined in person but unfortunately it didn't blow me away. Don't get me wrong, it's still delicious pizza. But I still stand by my previous review that I'm not sure it's THE BEST pizza ever.
Knocking one star down for the price - 4 pizzas and meatballs cost $147 including tax and tip which is pretty steep in my opinion.
The meatballs are honestly the real star here. My favorite pizza was the Santo then the burrata which tasted very fresh and like it had high quality ingredients. The Funghi was good but could have used more salt and I was underwhelmed by the Calabrese.
The service was fantastic though. They have a nice waiting area in the front with counter space and hooks. Our waiter was helpful with recommendations and the food came out quick!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Jan 20, 2022Previous reviewNot sure if it's worth the hype for the BEST pizza in the New York area but a solid place for Neapolitan style pizza. They're take-out only. You can order online but be prepared to wait a couple hours before you can pick up your pies.
My group got the Santo Pizza, Margherita Pizza, Funghi Pizza and Pepperoni Pizza and all were delicious and tasted like they were made with high quality ingredients. The standout was that the bottom wasn't soggy and held its own shape when lifted up, which isn't always the case with these style pizzas.
Their meatballs are also one of the most delicious I've ever had - so tender and they come with lots of sauce to mop up with your crust. - Mar 4, 2024
As a self proclaimed pizza eating pro and lover, this is truly been the best pizza I have ever eaten. The crust was a perfect blend of crunch and fluffiness while maintaining perfect structural integrity. The flavors were spot on from sauce to cheese to toppings. My only problem was not having enough stomach space to order all their pies!
Also, you need to get the bread and butter. Worth the cost for something that is often free.
An added bonus was that Phil from Somebody Feed Phil was casually eating dinner with family when we were here on a random Tuesday!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 7, 2024
I would give this amazing pizza spot 5 stars if they didn't keep your credit card hijacked to hold one's reservation!
Fortunately we got seats at the bar on a Saturday evening and had some really awesome pies. We tried the margarita and pepperoni pies and the meatballs - all were perfect!!
We love the service and wait staff, very friendly!
Coming from New York it's hard to find decent brick oven pizza but this spot serves up a pie with a smokey crust and savory flavor that hits home!
There could be a little more cheese on the pies but the sauce is just sweet enough that compliments the whole pizza.
Someone please tell the owner to stop forcing patrons to give their credit card for reservations. Very discouraging and you'll get customers even if you don't follow this rule (which should be against the law for all businesses!!)Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 17316742248Mar 22, 2024
Soooooooo good! Razza has been on my list of spots to try for so long, but as the poor planner that I am, I never think to make a rez with enough time, anddddd they never have anything free. Luckily I turned a year older which means someone else made the (surprise) rez and I celebrated 31 with great pizza, wine and panacotta.
Upscale pizza is the only way to put it. You could come in jeans and sneakers and a sweatshirt or a little on the dressed up side and fit in either way. The space is so cozy and nice and now I know to try to get a couple seats at the bar the next time I want to come in without a rez, I am sure I'll get luckily with a little wait time. Our waiters were so friendly, let us take our time, made suggestions, all around great.
For appetizers, we started with the ceci (chickpeas in olive oil and parm) and the kale caesar. Ceci was tiny and tasty! And as a chickpea fan it was a nice little app. The dressing on the kale caesar was pretty perfect as well. I ordered a little side of bread to scrape of every bit of olive oil and caesar dressing that I could.
On to the pies. I am a sucker for a red pie and a white pie on the table so we got the funghi and the burrata pies. Funghi was incredible, and if you are a mushroom lover like me, you need it. The burrata pie was also a winner. There were so many tasty pies on the menu and I cannot wait to get two new ones on the next visit.
Anddd lastly dessert! The pannacotta (new to both of us) was so good. Like a delicious custardy flan. Oh and the bottle of wine we got was just *perfect*.
Thanks for a great bday din, Razza!Helpful 4Thanks 1Love this 8Oh no 0
