How to make fried fish

You’re going to start  by preheating your vegetable oil to 375° F.

While the oil is heating up, make your dredging station. Whisk together the eggs and mustard in a bowl. Then in another shallow bowl or platter, combine the flour and seasoned cornmeal.

Now you need to pay the flounder filets dry with a paper towel. Then season them with the salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper.

Dip the flounder filets in the egg and mustard mixture, allow the extra wet batter to drip off, and now dredge the fish filets in the cornmeal and flour.

Gently place the fish filets in the oil and fry on each side for 3-5 minutes per side

Once the fried flounder filets are golden brown, remove them from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain the excess grease.

    1. Absolutely! I haven’t tried this specific recipe as oven fried but I would preheat your oven to 450 degrees F and put them in for 8-10 minutes. Check them and leave them in longer if needed but it should be delicious.
