SCAD Students Have a New Home at Forty

The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) has opened a new Atlanta student residence, Forty, named in honor of the university’s 40th anniversary. The apartment-style building is the result of a collaboration among Mackey Mitchell Architects, Lamar Johnson Collaborative, and SCAD Design Group. The result is a state-of-the-art, 14-story building that can house nearly 600 residents.

“Forty joins the Midtown skyline, offering unparalleled views of Atlanta. Students can gaze at the twinkling cityscape and envision places they'll go and works they'll create—while being surrounded by SCAD student and alumni art,” SCAD president and founder Paula Wallace tells AD PRO.
