We’re officially under a month-and-a-half from and we’re celebrating with former Penn State great, Jimmy Cefalo.

Cefalo was a stand out for the Nittany Lions between 1974 and 1977 at the wide receiver position. In his junior season, Cefalo was named the MVP of the Gator Bowl in 1976. In his senior year, Cefalo caught 28 passes for 507 yards and five touchdowns.

He went on to become a third-round pick by the Miami Dolphins in the 1978 NFL Draft. In seven seasons for the ‘Fins, Cefalo caught 93 passes for 1,739 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Following his football career, Cefalo went into the TV business, working for NBC as color commentator and later a correspondent for NBC News on The Today Show.

He is currently the “Voice of the Miami Dolphins” for WIOD in Miami.
