Here's Polpo: A Venetian Cookbook (Of Sorts) from British restaurateur Russell Norman. The restaurant Polpo originated in London's Soho neighborhood in 2009; it's Norman's version of a bacaro, a Venetian tavern that serves small plates called cicchetti. Since then, he's opened two additional locations of the restaurant and published this book of its thoughtful yet not overly fussy recipes. The book is a beauty, from its unusual naked binding to the sparse layout of the pages to the Venetian street scenes. Polpo is out now from Bloomsbury USA (buy on Amazon); below, photos from the book.
