Ras Hanzir New Cargo Facility

The project includes the construction of a new Cargo Facility at Ras Hanzir within the Grand Harbour, Port of Valletta, Malta. This facility will span between Laboratory Wharf and Fuel Wharf. The new quay will be parallel and aligned to the existing Fuel Wharf Quay, but offset towards the seaside. The construction will be mainly overwater and consists of:

• Clearing, excavation, and demolition
• Quay retaining wall structure built in phases (special structures) including mooring facilities
• Seabed consolidation/Soil improvement, land reclamation, and pavement works
• Laying of services and service preparation
• Buildings, gates, fences and barriers

The area to be developed is approx. 28,300 sq.m.
