With her loving family at her side, Molly Rovello passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 16th, after a brief illness.

Born Immaculate DiBianco, she was always known to family and friends as “Molly”. The daughter of Antonio and Felice Montalto DiBianco, she was born on August 20, 1929.

After graduating from Evander Childs High School in the Bronx, Molly’s first job was with the Social Security Administration on Wall Street. She spoke often of how exciting it was to have worked in downtown Manhattan. She married Michael L. Rovello in October of 1952, and later moved to Thornwood. After taking time to raise her children, Molly returned to work for several corporations, including AT&T, IBM, and Delta Electric. She ended her career by joining her husband at their growing insurance agency.

Molly made time to volunteer in the schools and at church. She was past president of the St. Dominic’s Council Columbiettes. She and Mike were deeply involved in politics and local government in Mt. Pleasant.

Molly was a loving, caring mother, who was always supportive of her children, even into their adult lives. She made every occasion and celebration special, cooking favorite meals and never forgetting a birthday. No one did Christmas like Molly. She also loved spending time at the Rhode Island shore with her family, who were central to everything in her life.

Molly was predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, former Mt. Pleasant Town Supervisor, Michael L. Rovello. She is also predeceased by her son, Christopher Rovello, grandson, Louis Kaplow, and her brother, Joseph DiBianco.

Molly is survived by her children, Barbara and Cal Kaplow of New Fairfield, CT, and Michael and Lisa Rovello of Trumbull, CT. She is also survived by the grandchildren she adored: Juliann and Charles Chacko of Orange, CT, Alex Rovello and Anya Rovello of Trumbull, CT; and the lights of her life, her great-grandchildren Caleb and Lillian.

Visitation with the family will take place on Friday, May 19, from 3:00pm – 7:00pm at Beecher Flooks Funeral Home in Pleasantville, NY. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, May 20, at 11:00am at Holy Innocents R.C. Church also in Pleasantville.
