Ed Comber is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins. Mr. Comber is a member of the firm’s Finance Department and Structured Finance Practice.
Mr. Comber has experience in a variety of structured finance, securitization, and other secured financing transactions, representing banks, issuers, underwriters, investors, placement agents, borrowers, lenders, funds, and other financial institutions. In particular, Mr. Comber works on the financing of a range of traditional and esoteric asset-backed securities including music catalogs, triple net real estate, rental car fleets, oil and gas assets, shipping containers, consumer credit card receivables, and a variety of trade receivables.
Mr. Comber collaborates with clients and their counterparties to structure solutions for specific asset classes. In particular, Mr. Comber has been closely involved in the pioneering of music catalog portfolio securitization, along with other members of Latham's Structured Finance Practice.
Mr. Comber maintains an active pro bono practice and has represented clients in asylum matters and matters involving under-resourced small businesses.
Mr. Comber is a member of the International Advisory Board of the Duke Law School.
