Sea Pearlwort - Sagina maritima
Low growing slightly tufted plant. Leaves linear lanceolate, rather fleshy and blunt. Flowers 4 to 6 mm, four parted, petals minute or absent. Fruit with erect, purple edged, hooded sepals.

Mostly coastal in Britain, but perhaps beginning to move inland along well salted roads.
Rare in Leicestershire and Rutland where the record from Stanton-under-Bardon dated 20th May 2015 is believed to be the first for VC55. It was not recorded in the 1979 Flora survey of Leicestershire.
