Our Pizzicante is a blend of Frantoio and Leccino varietal olive oils, and many of our customers consider it our most "authentic" Italian oil. Frantoio is the main variety in Italy's national olive oil production. Its flavor includes hints of green apple, green tomatoes and fresh walnuts, and its aroma contains notes of green leaves and grass. Leccino olive oil has a slight fruitiness, barely bitter and pungent, somewhat sweet and of a light color. Golden-green in color,

Pizzicante is smooth and luscious oil that tastes strongly of fresh grass. Extremely fragrant and flavorful, this slightly bitter extra virgin has a light consistency and a peppery finish.
PAIRING SUGGESTIONS
:
Use this as finishing oil when cooking Italian. Drizzle it over your pasta dishes, sauces, roast meats, and fresh vegetables as they're heading to the table. Use it with or without vinegar on a salad. Serve it as a dip for breads or as a condiment to use with an antipasto platter.
