Salema itself is a small and scenic fishing village, snuggled inconspicuously on the western edge of the Algarve. Asides watching the fishermen carrying out duties that have probably remained unchanged for centuries, marvelling at the beauty of the dramatic cliffs that dominate this tranquil corner of the Algarve is another favourite pastime here.
