Description

This small, subtly-coloured orchid, can easily be missed as it merges into the dry, stony, parched ground of its usual habitat. The very varied colour forms are surprising and delightful.

Flowers

The sepals and petals are pinkish/white and together form a helmet. The helmet is longer than the lip. The lip has deep pink spots with 3 lobes, the central lobe longer than the other two. The spur bends upwards, oval to oblong.

Leaves

Elliptic oval leaf, Lanceolate leaf is lance-shaped: long and widest in the middle. Oval, long, wider in the middle, pointed.

Fruits Seeds

Capsule: containing several tiny seeds.
